Farm Services Group (FSG) has pledged $12,500 to The Health
Foundation to improve healthcare in east central Saskatchewan.
The donation to the Giving...it's great medicine! campaign
will help The Health Foundation achieve the goal of $9.8 million
for the construction of the new Multi-Purpose Healthcare Complex,
to purchase essential medical equipment and to further the
training and education of the medical staff.
“Cargill understands the importance of these needs
to our communities. We are dedicated and supportive of community
initiatives, especially when such efforts work to dramatically
improve the services and opportunities for the many families
in the area,” said Brian Martinussen, Cargill AgHorizons
Parkland FSG Sales Manager. “Today’s donation
is a continuation of more than a decade of support of local
charity and sponsorship activities.”
The Health Foundation has raised $7.4 million of its $9.8
million goal. With its commitment of the 35% local share,
the sod has been turned on the new Multi-Purpose Healthcare
Complex, more than $1 million of important medical equipment
has been purchased in the past year, and twenty healthcare
staff have received more than $25,000 in educational support.
“The $12,500 pledge we are recognizing today is not
only important for its generous amount, but is an example
of business being a vital part of The Health Foundation achieving
its goal to improve healthcare for everyone,” said Wally
Sotski, Board Chair, “It is our hope that other corporations
will join in our quest to help the people of east central
Saskatchewan.”
