Winnipeg, MB – Cargill Limited is proud to once again partner with United Way in its annual fundraising drive at the company’s head office.

The agri-food company has demonstrated corporate leadership through a 2:1 matching program that is unique among the Top 50 corporate donors. For every $1 raised by employees, the company donates $2.

“As Winnipeggers, we have a long and proud history of helping one another. Now more than ever, we must continue to extend this helping hand to the individuals and families who are being affected by many unfortunate circumstances,” says Kerry Hawkins, President, Cargill Limited.

Cargill Limited maintains United Way corporate recognition status as a Gold Community Builder (United Way corporate funding between $50,000 and $74,999) and over 90 per cent participation from employees. The company has also received recognition as one of the Top 50 Workplace Campaigns along with such companies as Investors Group, JRI and Great West Life.

“Cargill is a leader in this city, valuing the importance of a strong social and economic environment in which business can grow and prosper. As a business leader, they recognize that building our community begins with United Way, as we all come together to improve lives and create sustainable change in our neighbourhoods,” says 2002 Volunteer Campaign Chair Gail Asper.
