WINNIPEG, Manitoba – Cargill’s commitment to build a new facility to accommodate area farmers with their crop inputs in the Peace River region by the spring of 2011 remains on target. Services are available to customers as of May 2, 2011.
“We are so pleased to have been able to complete the first phase of our construction in time for spring. With this expansion complete, we are now able to better accommodate the community and local area farmers”, said Mike Witkowicz, Cargill AgHorizons Farm Service Group Manager. “Having a new chemical shed to provide customers with leading crop protection products and a state-of-the-art fertilizer blending tower fully operating prior to the Spring season will be greatly beneficial for local producers in terms of time savings”, added Witkowicz.
Cargill employees at the McLennan facility are committed to providing their valued customers with the services they require to fulfill their evolving farm business needs. “We are proud to have the opportunity to continue to build on personalized customer service and further strengthen the relationships we already have in the Eastern McLennan region”, said Witkowicz.
