Cargill Foods operates a multi-species case ready meat packaging
facility in Toronto, Ontario. The plant occupies 167,000 sq
feet and is customer-dedicated.
The case ready facility was acquired 11 years ago and was
the first case ready operation in North America for Cargill.
Today Toronto produces case ready beef, pork, ground beef,
poultry and sausage products. Cargill Foods services retail
stores throughout the province of Ontario.
Cargill Foods in Toronto employs approximately 800 highly-skilled
employees that ensure quality, food safe products are consistently
delivered to the retail consumer.

Les Aliments Cargill (Cargill Foods) - Chambly, Quebec
In September 2002, Cargill Foods opened its second dedicated
case ready meat packaging facility on Montreal's south shore.
The new plant, located in Chambly's Industrial Park, covers
130, 000 square feet and further processes meat into case-ready
products, which are delivered direct to the refrigerated display
cases of retail grocery stores throughout Quebec. Cargill
Foods packages case ready fresh meat products including beef,
pork, ground meats and sausage. The decision to build the
$45 million processing facility in Chambly was reached by
the right mix of infrastructure, labour force and close proximity
to a major market.

En septembre 2002, Les Aliments Cargill ont ouvert leur seconde usine d'emballage des viandes prêt à vendre sur la rive sud de Montréal. La nouvelle usine, située dans le parc industriel de Chambly, occupe un espace de 130 000 pieds carrés et permet également de transformer les viandes en produits prêts à la consommation livrés directement dans les présentoirs réfrigérés des marchés d'alimentation partout au Québec. Les Aliments Cargill emballe les viandes en caisse fraîches comme le bœuf, le porc, les viandes hachées et les saucisses. La décision de construire une usine de transformation de 45 millions $ à Chambly a été prise en tenant compte de la combinaison appropriée d'infrastructure, de main-d'œuvre et de proximité étroite avec un marché majeur.
